˝I am Muslim. Soon it is five years since I get to know Muslim people, I read a lot about the religion, and I have been interested in it; it was entirely my decision that I chose this path.”
“What are the requirements? What is the initiation ceremony like?”
“Faith is the most important, that you believe in God and believe that Mohammad, the prophet is his servant and messenger. But otherwise you have to say the testimony, where is good to have two witnesses but it is not really obligatory.”
“How is life as a Muslim in Hungary?”
“I think it is good. The negative experience and atrocities I had are all connected to foreigners. I am surer it has its background, but fortunately here – as I experienced – people are more accepting in this respect.”
“What do you do by the way?”
“I study intercultural pedagogy and psychology. Actually, it gives a degree in Humanities, and my task will be hopefully to help teachers and psychologists in this special field. I would like to work with migrants with the management of this question and integration. It would be good to speak several languages so I could work with a wide range of people.”
“How do you see Budapest?”
“For example, I do not want to leave at all, I really love this place, and the only thing that may disturb me is the lack of nature and cleanliness. These could be better.”
