˝I get nostalgic when I think of the early 90’s Budapest. I was longing to conquer it. We spent the day at the university and libraries, the night at bars, cinemas and parties. New cafés and good restaurants have been opened since. ‘The ruin bar’ is not just an isolated subculture today, it’s a symbolic product of Hungary, a ‘Hungaricum’. People drink quality booze, a number of old buildings have been restored and I hope more and more buildings will be renewed rather than demolished.˝
