„Music is my real passion. I started playing the violin at the age of 6 because of my older sister. She had a beautiful mahogany coloured instrument, so I wanted to play, too. Then my mother realised that I have musical talent, indeed. When I was in second grade, she had an idea that she wanted me to apply to the Children’s Choir of the National Radio and the Children’s Choir of the Opera. I was accepted by both places and she decided on the Radio.”
“How big change was it then? Was it worth it?”
“It was really big, I was angry at her for a long time, but in the end, that was the best thing that could happen to me. More singing lessons, plenty of performances, practically from the beginning. We also went abroad, but even in Hungary we sang at numerous places.”
“You still sing, don’t you?”
“Of course, I have been a member f the choir where I still belong since 2009. I do not only like it because of the music but also because the community is amazingly good. We had 10 concerts in December, we were in France too, we had a concert at Advent in collaboration with a non-profit organisation, and we sang in a home for the elderly and for mentally disabled people as well. It was really touching.”
“Do you also perform contemporary pieces?”
“Yes, we do. For example, we are preparing to Tours, to the European Grand Prix for Choral Singing, we got invited because we won in it in the summer in December. It is a great challenge, that’s why we try to strengthen our repertoire with contemporary pieces, for example on by Levente Gyöngyösi, we love that piece already.”
